AMD Intectra - Company Profile
Mass spectrometry is one of the most important analytical methods used today for identification and
quantification of chemical compounds. It is increasingly used in research and analytical laboratories;
typical areas of application are environmental analysis, monitoring of synthetic chemical reactions,
and research in biochemistry and pharmacology.
While involved in scientific research in the early 1960´s, I had already begun to develop mass
spectrometer systems. After many years of management experience in the analytical instrumentation industry,
I founded AMD Intectra GmbH in 1982 to pursue my vision of a company based on the spirit of partnership.
From the beginning, AMD Intectra´s actions were guided by desire to benefit all parties by establishing
an atmosphere of trust among customers, team members, and business partners. Our company has adhered to these
principles ever since.
Several years of intense research by our expert teams have resulted in a complete range of magnetic-sector
mass spectrometers, which have been designed for a wide range of applications and meet the high quality standards
demanded by today´s analytical problems. The AMD Intectra philosophy is reflected in the modular design of
our mass spectrometers: a sophisticated product line that fulfills most laboratory requirements, but includes
flexibility for specific customer needs. This concept benefits basic scientific research as well as routine analysis.
Our vision of the future includes the potential for diversification through the integration and development of new
technologies to satisfy the analytical needs of tomorrows´s laboratories.
